Our Self-Care Stations contain simple tools to give recipients an opportunity for respite and uses herbal products to help strengthen the ability of the body to withstand stress. They have monthly herb tips to get people curious & excited about the world of plant medicine and empower them to participate in creating their own stress management habits.
Supporting our community by offering ways for teachers and first responders to manage stress is our goal. Sticking with gentle herbal remedies, using well-known plant allies, like lavender and chamomile, each sponsored Self-Care Station will offer herbal teas, aromatherapy eye pillows, and Bach’s Rescue Remedy.
Guides & infographics are included with the stations, sharing how to work with the supplies provided. This begins the journey into the world of plant medicine. We begin to understand nervines and nourishing herbs, the value of a daily tea and taking a moment for ourselves. It becomes a welcome respite in their demanding lives and their resiliency begins to grow in mind, body, and spirit.
The Self-Care Stations help alleviate ongoing stress that leads to PTS and that permeates society. We learn the value of ongoing, daily self-care and are better able to manage not only day to day stress, but also have tools for sudden crisis.
A Self-Care Station has a sponsor from the local business community. Each sponsorship is $30 per month per station. The sponsor receives recognition at the self-care station and receives written acknowledgment that they are sponsoring this group to display at their place of business.
In all things, we seek to create replicable systems that become the gateway for more people to see the value of plant medicine and reconnect with the magic of the planet they inhabit.
We believe the way forward is for communities to recognize the interdependence of humanity. This project will have far reaching impacts, creating structures that show us how to nurture each other, reawakening our connection and compassion.
We as a society are suffering from compassion fatigue. Our helping professionals are living with secondary trauma. Daily nervine nourishment and heart-supporting herbs go a long way to restore the body’s nervous system and overall resilience. These small steps help empower us to take control of our own well being.
